Cookie Policy

Last updated: 20 May 2026

Short version: The Droppie website uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function and to understand basic usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owner about how the site is being used. Similar technologies — such as local storage and session storage — serve related purposes in web and mobile applications. This policy covers all of these.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

Required

These cookies are required for the website and Platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, place orders, or use core features. They include session tokens that keep you logged in during a visit, CSRF protection tokens that prevent unauthorised actions, and load-balancing cookies that direct your requests to the correct server. You cannot opt out of these cookies and continue to use the Platform.

Functional cookies

Can opt out

These cookies remember choices you have made — such as your preferred language, your saved delivery address, or whether you have dismissed a notification — so you do not have to repeat them on every visit. They improve your experience but are not essential for core functionality.

Analytics cookies

Can opt out

We use basic analytics to understand how visitors use the Droppie website — which pages are viewed most, where users drop off, and how people navigate between sections. This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not use it to identify individual users. The analytics service we use processes data in accordance with our data processing agreement with them.

3. Cookies we do not use

Advertising cookies: We do not serve advertising and do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Cross-site tracking: We do not track your activity across other websites or apps.
Social media cookies: We do not embed social media buttons or widgets that place cookies on your device without your knowledge.
Fingerprinting: We do not use browser fingerprinting or other covert tracking methods to identify you across sessions.

4. Mobile app storage

The Droppie customer app and Droppie Go driver app use local device storage (not browser cookies) to maintain your login session and store app preferences. This is standard mobile app behaviour. You can clear this data at any time by logging out of the app or clearing the app's data through your device settings. Clearing app data will require you to log in again.

5. Managing cookies

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically view, delete, and block cookies on a per-site basis. Instructions for common browsers:

Chrome
Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
Firefox
Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
Safari
Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Edge
Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using the Platform. Blocking functional or analytics cookies may limit some features but will not prevent core functionality.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies we use or introduce new tracking technologies, we will update this policy and, for material changes, notify you through the Platform. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
